"The Rail" is an extremely sophisticated pool trick shot you must see at least twice to realize its magnitude. In this pool trick, Vincent Facquet, the trick shot artist, pockets one ball to a corner pocket and jumps the cue ball over the rail at the same shot. Above the rail, a cue stick is attached to the side of the table and the right after the jump the cue ball drives on the cue ball and pushes an additional object ball to the corner pocket.
If this pool trick shot was performed by someone less skilled than Vincent Facquet (who won in 3 world championships and countless pool tournaments), the cue ball could have jumped off the table. Here, the cue balls jumps to the precise spot from which the second ball can be hit and fall right into the corner pocket. Additionally, the cue ball is hit with enough force and speed to pocket the first ball into the opposite corner and jump above the rail at the same shot.
