The "Up and Down" billiard trick shot uses 3 object balls and 3 cue sticks in addition to the cue ball. The cue sticks extend from the opposite corner pocket and create some kind of rail tracks on which the cue ball will slide later. The object balls and the cue ball are positioned, frozen to each other, near the middle pocket.
The goal of Vincent Facquet, the trick shot artist, is to first pocket two of three object balls - one to the nearby middle pocket and the other to the corner pocket to his left. The third object ball, the 8-ball in this videos, will be pocketed to the same middle pocket but only after the cue ball will hit 3 rails and then go up and down on the cue sticks to where it came from. Remember that this whole scenario occurs in one shot during about 10-15 seconds.
The "Up and Down" pool trick shot is very popular. The complexity of the trick along with the drama added by the presence of the cue sticks creates a great impression upon the spectators. Check out another variant of this trick as performed by Topalidis Giorgos and Draganakis Apotolos.
